Hey guys, new feature for you!

A while ago dragonee contacted the group about an application he had made, offering it up for our use. The simple app opens in your browser and lets you pick a theme from whichever variation you're doing.

In Michals words, right now no login is required, the application remembers your current theme even if you close your browser window, so it's really easy to use.

Using this app is such an easy way to keep a simple record of your progress of 100TC, here's how it works:

The App

This is the main page you'll see when you first use it, hit  the "get my first theme" button.

Once you've completed the theme just hit the "OK, completed" button to get your next theme.

You'll notice in the top left corner there's a handy counter to tell you how many out of 100 you've done and how many you have left.  Which variation you're working on is also displayed below and to the right of the theme.

If you feel like mixing your list up a bit just hit the "show me other variations" button and it'll give you some others, great for when you get artist block on one.

Right now it can only go in numerical order but soon we hope to make it so it will randomise the lists for you.
For anyone who wants to try it out be sure to leave us some feedback about it, we'd love to get your thoughts on it =]

This is really cool and I would love to use it, except I'm using a mix of all the variations, not just one of them. xP It would be cool if there was a feature to input your own variation of it.

It's been updated since this post we just haven't gotten around to doing an updated blog post about it yet =P

If you have any ideas for improving it though you should send ~dragonee a message, he'd the one who came up with it =]

Thanks for your support, guys! As you have pointed out, the next version will feature some randomization instead of just changing a theme, so the gray button will show you four uncompleted themes from your variation. That will come at a cost of some login mechanism - but I don't think we really need any passwords, so logging in will essentially be just putting your dA username in some box once in a time. So you'll need not to remember anything new. :)

Also, if you use the same login as your dA username, it will allow for some other feature that I have in mind. However, right now it's a secret. ;p

All 5 variations are stored, so about 500 hundred themes are stored in the place. Of course some of them are duplicates.

this seems really cool, but like you pointed out in the journal it can only go in order. I have already done a few themes, and they are scattered throughout the page. If it was made so that you could choose your theme and go out of order, that'd be pretty cool though, and I'd use it :D

Will be featured in the next version, unfortunately at a cost of some kind of logging in to the app (without that, if something happens to your computer, or if you clean your browser history, you would lose access to your data).

It seems pretty easy to use. However, when using the jumping option the previous challenges are counted as done, but when going back to a challenge already done, it isn't counted as such. Also, once the window is closed and opened again, it doesn't seem to remember me.
It seems like a good app if you don't close it at all (or remember when you stoped when you do) and doing the prompts one by one only. It is a good start, anyway. Thanks!

About the jumping option: yes, this is certainly a problem, the next version will be a little more powerful, hopefully. :)

And, about your problem with closing the window: my thought is that you are going straight to some theme (and the address in the address bar ends in numbers, like /1/1, or /1/5), if you write just the domain [link] it should automatically put you in the right place.

If it does not, then please provide me with more information (which browser do you use, and what precisely are you typing and where are you going).

Good luck with that. (:

Each prompt has its own numbers in the address, right?
If I enter through the link every time I want to use the app, it'll get me to the beginning. In order to get back into the place I've been before I'll have to remember (or save somewhere) the exact address of the last prompt I did, or the first I have not done yet. If I haven't saved the address anywhere, it wouldn't remember me (or anyone else).

Well, the application works like this:

- If you go to the main page (domain only), it checks if you have visited this page before (you need to have cookies on). If so, then it redirects you to this theme.
- If you are entering the application for the first time, it shows you the welcome message, and gives you random variation, theme 1. Each subsequent load of the main page will redirect you to this place.
- If you go to challenge.lambdadelta.pl/<variation_number>/<theme_number> it will show you this theme, but won't store it in the browser until you click `OK, completed' button. To change your current variation permanently the bottom form is used, not the address bar.
- The information about your current variation/theme is stored in your browser for 5 years, so it's either a weird bug, or I don't know yet what it could be.

This is why I'm not sure how it's even possible. :)

For testing: try for me do these steps:
1. click `reset settings' in the right bottom corner. It will give you random variation, theme 1.
2. click `OK, completed.' a few times to progress to another theme.
3. exit the browser
4. run the browser again and go to challenge.lambdadelta.pl without anything appended after domain.

Does it redirect you to the theme chosen before closing the browser?

Following the steps you wrote down, it works now (though differently for regular browsing and inprivate browsing, lol). Have no idea what went wrong last times I tried.
Thanks!

The bug was apparently on our side -> the link posted above redirected to a particular theme and I didn't check it until now. But I've fixed it and right with it there is a new version of the application, so be sure to try all the new things inside.

Thanks for waiting so long for the bug to be fixed. :)

I take my time working on prompts, but nonetheless - really glad to know it's fixed, I like this application.

You can jump to another variation by using the form on the bottom of the page, or by clicking the `Show me other variations' button.
