100TC Chatroom, July 24th, from around 6pm - 9pm GMT

For those not in these timezones you can check yours here: [link]

So whether you want to get to know others doing the challange, need some advice on your work or just want to stop by for a quick chat you're welcome to pop in. We may keep going a little longer if it goes well and people want to stay. </strike>

Well  I tried to make the group a little more interactive but since no one showed up at all we'll call this one a failure. I won't be trying to organise anymore of these.
So now we're an Awesome Group again lets get theses updates started! There are a few things we're looking for:

  1. Title banner or unique journal skin - We need someone whose good with graphics to make us a banner for the top of the group page, or just an skin for the journal. Make us look all fancy =3 (If anyone wants to make fun "buttons" for the variations links to the right that would also be lovely).

  2. New group avatar - do you think it's time for an updated one?.

  3. Prizes for the next contest - So far we have 18 points up for grabs so any prizes anyone is willing to offer are welcome [points, sketches, features, even a llama =P].

  4. Gallery moderators - we get a ton of submissions every week so having admin for the specific folders will make it a whole lot more organised and efficient (mostly because they only have one variation to focus on).
Anyone whose interested simply send us a note saying why you'd be a good mod + any experience you've had with the group system etc. We need dedicated members for this, it runs a lot more smoothly when we don't need to keep replacing staff because the old ones have gotten bored and left.

And finally!
    5. Suggestions on what you think 100TC needs/should have!

As for the new donations set up, it seems groups (super or not) do not have that widget available to them. When I contacted dA to ask about it they said, "Currently groups do not have the ability to receive points by themselves as they are technically not a member of the community." So for now we won't be collecting for the next upgrade. It's a year away anyway so there's no need to worry!

I'm away for a few days this week so work on this will start Sunday or Monday =]
We're a Super Group baby!

A quick journal to say we made it, now to fancy this place up a bit. I want to thank everyone who donated! from 1 point to 800 every donation helped us get here, we even went over our target a little!

We're gonna start fiddling with the new settings avaliable to us so the page may change a few times for the next few days. We'll edit this to mention some additional features as we add them. If anyone wants to design a new journal skin for us feel free =P

The upgrade came just in time for our very first contest, the theme being the 100TC's 5th Birthday! More details, dates etc, coming soon.

Got any ideas for future contests? Send us a note and we'll add them to our list!
As a lot of you know we've had a donation poll going, for some time now, to get us enough points for an upgrade to Super Group status (on my page because only super groups can have polls on their pages). We've raised 3445 of the 4796 we need so far and as it's been going for over a year now I was thinking,
do people still want us to raise the points for that purpose?

We could alternatively use the points as part prizes for contests & group activities. We're open to ideas for contests as well, we want to keep them simple for now and not over complicate things (ie. 5 sub contests for each variation). Though we could possibly do sub categories for each different medium.

This is where I need everyones input especially those who donated:

What do you guys think we should do with the 3445 points we currently have?

:bulletred: Use them  or  :bulletyellow: keep collecting?

Keep in mind that the members that have donated did so with the intention of getting us Super so their opinions on the matter cannot be ignored.

We would reeeally appreciate everyones input on this.

EDIT

Wow guys i'm really surprised by the sudden boost in support & donations, we're only 794 points away now! I think we'll keep saving for Super then set up a new poll for the next years subscription! If the super runs out before we have reach amount we need that time we can just use them for contests etc.

Little extra note, did you know that the group turns 5 next month? Oh how to celebrate ;)

Keep your thoughts and feedback coming though guys!
